The Sixspotted Spider

White and black
Woven and wet
The Sixspotted Spider:
Eyes filled with regret

He sits in his web
Black with flies
Large and grotesque
Damp from cries

He draws you in...
Shares his food
Gives you a giggle
And tries not to be rude

You think of him a saint
A gift from up above
He pulls you into his web
And gives you his love

I warn you of his dirty deeds
I swear him a bad man
But with just one laugh
It began...

I reach out for one more chance
But I have lost the war
Your body is already limp
Your neck is one large sore

His looks may be deceiving
And you all know of his sins
But that won't stop the wave of females
From getting caught in his spin

I often wonder
About how horrible I must have been
For you to have cheated on me
With such a large grin
